- A bald head shines because the scalp keeps producing sebum after the hair is gone, with nothing left to absorb it, and because a smooth curved surface reflects light rather than scattering it.
- Scalp micropigmentation sits under the skin; shine sits on top of it and flattens the illusion of depth, which is what makes a treatment read as fake.
